Berea
Berea, Ky is home of the historic Berea College, founded in 1855. Berea College was the first interracial, co-ed college in the south. Tuition is free, and only students of high academic caliber are admitted. Berea College consists primarily of students from Appalachia with limited economic resources. Berea is also world famous for its craft industry and is designated as the Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky.
